Part 42Ratna and Manorama welcomed Abishek's family. Asha hugged Manorama formally. Abishek: Namaste Bhabi. (Ratna nodded smilingly) where is Bhai?Ratna: He has an important meeting, so he went to AR. He will come as soon as possible.Asha (sarcastically): I expected this....Abishek (ignoring her): I can understand Bhabi...Nimesh: Where is your SON?NK: He is so busy, unlike us...He snapped him back...Asha: Is your Bahu also busy? Or your son took her with him to office too?They saw Khushi coming with Spurthi. Asha as well as Nimesh got stuck seeing her. Jealous was openly visible in their eyes. They spared a glance.
Asha: Shashi Gupta's daughter looks pretty.Nimesh: Her family trait is like that Mom... Khushi didn't like their talk even though they were pricing her family. Ratna felt dejected and also felt good as Arnav didn't hear them. Abishek (to Khushi): I'm your father-in-law's brother Abishek. She is my wife Asha and he is my son Nimesh.He introduced his family not waiting for Ratna to do that. Nimesh (extending his hand towards Khushi): Hi beautiful...Khushi got stuck for few seconds. Don't know why, her intellectual alarmed her. She didn't find anything GOOD in his gaze as same as with Asha. She came to the composure. Khushi (joining her hands): Namaste...Nimesh lowered his hand raising his right eye brow, looking deep into her eyes. There, he saw only flawless gesture. Ratna thought to change the atmosphere.Ratna: Hariprakash.... She called him and he rushed to them.Ratna: Take them to their room. (looking at Asha) Come to lunch getting fresh.They moved with HP but their gaze didn't move from Khushi. In their RoomNimesh: Mom, she is so gorgeous....Asha (sighing): Gorgeous? She is looking like a queen... My stomach is burning. How that orphan gets everything better?Nimesh: Better? Just wait and see my game...Asha: What are you going to do?Nimesh: We have to know about their relationship. I suspect that she is not in good terms with Arnav as he married her forcefully. Asha: For that, Khushi shouldn't get doubt on us. We should act smoothly with her. Don't forget that. Nimesh: Don't worry... it's a deal of TWO CRORE. How could I be careless?Asha: That's it.........Arnav came to RM very late that day....He knew Asha and Nimesh would be there. They won't be quite if they see him in RM. He didn't want to fall into their sight and ruin a jolly mood of people. But they were not ready to leave Arnav easily. Arnav saw everyone in living room. He smiled at them voluntarily. Asha and Nimesh's eyes observed Khushi. Though she was upset with him her eyes sparkled seeing him which made them disappointed. They spared a glance with each other. Abishek: Hi Arnav... how are you doing?Arnav: I'm fine....Nimesh (cutting him): Who won't be fine... if he got a dazzling wife like Khushi? Arnav gritted his teeth looking at him. Khushi looked at Ratna who was embarrassing. Khushi stood and went towards Arnav.
She took his laptop bag from his hand making Arnav surprised. But Arnav didn't bring it on his face. He calmed down himself immediately, seeing "cool" Khushi. Khushi: Did you have dinner?Arnav nodded NO. Khushi: Go and get fresh. I will bring you dinner.Arnav: I will have later.He didn't want to end the conversation with Khushi. So, he intentionally extended the talks between them.Khushi: It's already late Arnav. Come.... She circled his bicep and dragged him towards their room. Arnav silently walked with her while looking at her. Nimesh left like, TWO CRORE was slipping down from his hands.When they entered in, Khushi tried to take her hand off which was being circling his bicep. Before she did that, Arnav kept his palm over her hand. Khushi looked into his eyes parting her lips.Arnav: Nimesh is a roguish guy. He won't mind anyone. Please be careful. Khushi took her hand from his hand and left downstairs to bring his dinner. After finishing dinner, Khushi spread the blanket on the floor and lied, overlaying herself with quilt. She closed her eyes as she felt "eating" gaze of Arnav. Undeniably, Arnav was eating her through his eyes. Khushi opened her eyes jerking, hearing a knock. So did Arnav. Khushi sat on the floor. They looked at each other questioningly. Because, it couldn't be Ratna nor Arvind. They would have called their names while knocking. So, it must be someone.Khushi stood on the floor and curled the blanket hurriedly. Arnav opened the closet and threw it inside and closed it. Khushi lied on the bed closing her eyes pretending like sleeping. Arnav opened the door and saw Asha and Nimesh standing. Arnav stood frowning, blocking them from entering inside, looking at them like, "What?"Asha: We are not getting sleep as this is a new place. That's why I came to meet you. Still, Arnav didn't utter a single word but looking at them. Nimesh got inside pushing Arnav aside. Asha also followed him as if, she was waiting for a "gap". Nimesh's eyes rooted on Khushi who was laying on the bed. Asha wandered in the room shamelessly. She opened the closet and saw the blanket which was been thrown inside by Arnav. She looked at Khushi and then Arnav suspecting. She left the place as she got a call on her mobile. Arnav looked at Nimesh whose gaze was on Khushi.Nimesh (looking at Khushi): I can't believe this... How a man could let sleep his beautiful wife like you do?Arnav tightened his jaw. Arnav: Out....Nimesh: yah....He stopped at the door step and saw Arnav; who was waiting to close the door.Nimesh: Do you remember Badima's words? ( Not answering him, Arnav shrunk his brows) She always advices us to "share" everything....He said looking at Khushi. Next minute, Arnav's fist made his lip bleed. Nimesh got hit on the pillar by the force of Arnav's punch. Arnav clutched his collar and about to punch him again, Abishek; who heard, what he just said, slapped Nimesh. Throwing an angry glare, Nimesh left the place. Ratna and Manorama rushed seeing Nimesh getting hit by Abishek.Ratna: What happened? Abishek went bowing down, said nothing. Ratna looked at Arnav.Arnav: I will kill him if he eye on MY Khushi.... Getting inside the room, he closed the door leaving Ratna and Manorama sighed disappointedly.Mano: What kind of creature Nimesh is....? This is what I feared of...Ratna: Don't know what else we are going to face, because of him. Mano: We shouldn't leave Khushi alone ever. Ask her to be with someone.Ratna nodded yes contently.
Arshi RoomArnav sat on the recliner with seething anger. His reddened eyes told that how frustrated he was. Khushi sat on the bed seeing him like that. Did she hear what Nimesh said? It seemed YES. Her facial expression expressed it. She tried to get down from the bed. That's when she heard..."Stay"She looked at Arnav who advanced her.Arnav: Khushi please sleep on the bed. Don't know, when these people will back-check us again. I said, I will be on the recliner...Neither Arnav's tone was rough nor calm. Khushi lied on the bed and closed her eyes as this is not a matter of showing stubbornness. Arnav sighed in relief. He went to the poolside as he didn't feel like, he will get sleep. Arnav sensed something wrong in Asha and Nimesh. They never treated him good. But today it seems, they are trying to find out about his relationship status with Khushi. Tomorrow, they have to go to Payal's house for Shagun. He doesn't want to join in the rituals as they will surely create scene. At the same time, he was not ready to leave Khushi with them alone.
Next Morning.Khushi was getting ready to go to Payal's house for Shagun. She sensed that Arnav was standing behind her. She turned around and looked at him.
Arnav: Khushi I need to talk to you. Neither Khushi tried to move from there nor did she say YES. She was looking at him showing nothing through her facial expression.Arnav: I just want to finish everything here itself. Just here me once... (pause) I agree, I don't like your father. I have told you that already. We discussed a lot about it before. But using you as a bait was never in my mind. I really wanted you in my life that's why I married you forcefully. As if she was waiting for him to start...Khushi : Why did you hide my identity from Amma and Papa? What's the reason that you hid the truth from them when they were gladly accepted me as their Bahu? Hiding the truth, would have been right if they are like "my parents" (she stressed). Because they wouldn't have understood you. But they are not like my parents. They are Godly souls... Then why didn't you say them that I'm Shashi Gupta's daughter? Why Arnav?
Arnav got stuck... this is the only question he never wanted to answer. He was really not sure that "answer of her question" will bring all the problem to an end. He can answer. But what after that? Will she be happy? Will she be happy knowing that her father is a murderer of his parents? The wealth of Guptas are nothing but a stolen assets from his father? Will she.....? And more than that, What if his answer turns the table totally against him? What if she thinks, he used her as bait to take revenge of his parent's murderer Shashi Gupta? That's why he hid the truth from Arvind and Ratna? Won't she? Arnav: Khushi, I didn't do that intentionally...Khushi: Then what was your intention? I'm damn sure, Amma would have asked about my identity at least for once. Didn't she? (Arnav gulped) she must have... still, you didn't say. Why?Arnav was silent. Khushi: Because, you knew they will not stand with you if they know my identity. They will not let you do what you want. Right?Arnav touched her cheek nodding NO. Khushi clutched his wrist tightly. Next second, she hugged him tightly and cried on his chest. Though Arnav didn't expected that he hugged with the same zeal.
Khushi: Please give me answer Arnav. I can't see you like what I'm seeing now. Please give my Arnav back. I can't tolerate this distance from you. Arnav composed himself and took deep breath. That's when he saw a shadow under the door. Breaking the hug, he slowly moved to the door and opened it suddenly. And saw Nimesh standing there. Was he overhearing? He smiled shamelessly. Khushi felt awkward seeing him. We no need to say, how Arnav's look on Nimesh would have been.Nimesh: Are you guys ready?
