After a good dance session, the party that was going lifeless got its life back. Everybody were enthusiastic again and were enjoying the party. It's been a long time now. Nandini came to Manik and said.

Manik who was busy with few people, turned to Nandini when she came to him and called him and when she said about food, he excused the guest and turn to her. Tangling her elbow with his, they made way towards the food area.
The food arrangements were made at the restaurant, it was a buffet and by the time Manan reached there, the place was 90% empty. The food was piping hot and the area was clean inspite of many people using that place.
Manan came to the plates. The waiter was serving plates with spoon, fork and a tissue. Nandini took that and gave that plate to Manik. Then she removed her elbow from his and took her plate. They walked to the dishes. Nandini was looking at the names of the dishes and then was filling their plates.
Manik was just beside Nandini holding his plate and Nandini was filling it with the right food with right amount. She filled her plate too. They came to a table and sat there. The waiter came to serve drinks, which Manik denied as he have had a quiet few and he have to drive back.
Once they were left alone, Nandini digged her fork in her food and started eating it. By her way of eating Manik could analyse that she was damn hungry. Nandini never eats that way until she is extremely hungry. After gulping her first bite she said.
Nan-the party is lavish but tiring as well.
Manik had digged his spoon in his food too.

Like this they talked with eating. At 1 time Nandini refilled their plates and at another time Manik got whatever was required. Like this they had food till they were too full. Relaxing a bit, they came back to the party.
Again they got busy in the party. After 15 mins, Manik got an idea. He called a few people and then looked at Nandini over his shoulder.
She was busy with the girls and all. Once he got the call back, he came to cabir who was busy with other guest. Coming to cabir, he put his hand around his neck and grabbed his attention. Then he softly mumbled.

Manik's gesture were clear that he needs something, so excusing themselves, they moved from the guest and cabir replied.

Manik said that and they headed towards the mattress. They removed their footwear and sat on it. Manik then removed his coat and rolled up his sleeves and then they laid down. They were feeling blessed to lay down after like standing or sitting since a long time.
Their gaze were fixed on the sky, that had very few stars. The moment was peaceful. It looked beautiful. After 10 mins the sky started filling with chinese lanterns. Nandini who was busy in gazing the blue/ black sky, started seeing orange colour.
The lanterns were just adding in the sky and filling it with immense amount of light and it looked beautiful. A smile appeared on her lips and she sat back with her head raised up to sky. Manik knew that this surprise is going to make her very happy and seeing her smile, he too was happy. The lanterns were just adding up, they have become countless.

They kept gazing at the sky for a long time. The lanterns were going high in the sky. The extremely filled sky was now getting partially empty. There was a peaceful silence btwn them. After a good time Manik asked.

Manik said yes with the blink of his eyes. Nandini sat immediately and Manik got up behind her. Nandini saw him picking up the packed lantern, an arm away from Manik's. While Manik got it to Nandini, opened his packet and then set the lantern.
Nandini was looking at everything like an excited kid. Soon Manik picked up the match box and gave to her. Nandini light up the match stick and Manik was holding the lantern for her.
She lighted the lantern and then holded the lantern. Once they were sure that the lantern is ready to fly, they together left it in the air. The lantern started flying as high as it can go. Manan were looking up to see their lantern.
They were looking continuously, that much, that their neck started paining but still their gaze were fixed on their lantern. Finally the lantern was extremely high, they moved their head back and on that procedure, their forehead got banged with each other.
They got hurt, they winced in pain, they rubbed their head where they were hurt, looked at each other and than they giggled at their accident. Amidst giggling, Manik's eyes got stuck on Nandini's beauty and he stopped giggling.
Nandini stopped giggling on feeling Manik's intense gaze on her. She looked at his dazed eyes and got nervous like a girlfriend. She looked away on his intense gaze but Manik couldn't even blink in her beauty.
After a brief time, he held her chin and lifted her face. Though her face was in his direction but her eyes were down. Manik reduced the distance and placed a warm kiss on the corner of her eyes. Nandini inhaled intensely.
