Manik wrapped his hands around Nandini, taking her in a hug, making her confused but soon she felt his warmth and love radiating out from his hug and Nandini gave in.
She too wrapped her hands around his back and hugged him with equal warmth. Realising the same feeling coming out of her, Manik tightened the hug, as they could feel each other.
It's been a while since they have shared such a hug. On feeling his strong hold, Nandini too sticked herself more into him, trying to soak in his warmth as much as possible.
As she moved more in him, Manik tightened his hold more on her and they could feel all the longing and distance btwn them covering up. They felt love and peace in the hug. The warmth spread and eliminated the coldness in their soul which had seeped unintentionally.
Nandini's left cheek was resting on his heart and she could hear his heartbeats, while Manik rested his chin on her head. They both closed their eyes to feel each other more intensely. They breathed in each other's fragrance. All the tiredness and negative feelings were leaving their body.
Nandini realised that she have missed him so much and that is why, she tired to get more close to him if that was possible and in reflex, Manik holded her more firmly.
It's been 5 mins since they are hugging each other but neither they are realising abt the time nor they have any plans to move away anytime soon. After resting his chin on her head, Manik felt to hide himself in her and that's why, he moved his face from her head and hide it in the crook of her neck.
Her open, thick, long hair acted as a curtain for him and he could feel hided from the entire world. He inhaled her freshly sprayed fragrance and tried to soak in her warmth. Now that Manik was surrendering in the hug, Nandini took the charge.
Removing her hands from his back, she wrapped it around his nape, passing him all the warmth that he was passing since a few mins. She hugged him tightly and moved her face against his to adjust her head but that movement was breathtaking.
Their cheeks rubbed against each other and nothing could be as soothing as her this act. They inhaled deeply coz of their tight hold on each other but still they were not ready to move away from each other.
Seconds were turning into mins and they were not tired from this touch of their infact they felt themselves to be charging up with this hug. After a very long hug, Nandini out of the moment, due to her strong urge, kissed Manik's crook of neck and then again set her head to continue the hug.
They had lost the track of their time. They were at peace and had no plans to break this hug any time sooner but soon Manik's phone rang, breaking their peaceful moment. The ringtone bought them out of their peaceful world but Manik didn't move back nor did he let Nandini break the hug.
The call went off and the moment btwn them too got over, they were trying to bring back the feeling when again his phone rang, killing every bit of their moment, unwilling Nandini moved a little to end up their hug but Manik didn't let her go and that is why they were in a half hug now. The phone went off again and than Nandini said.

Manik gave in coz eventually that is their destination for tonight and there is no way out of it. They turned to leave and that is when again Manik's phone rang. Nandini handed him his phone and Manik picked up the call.
It was cabir, asking him as to how much time they will take. The thing is everybody have reached on time and were now waiting for the birthday boy. They all were chatting and having fun until they felt that it's high time and they haven't arrived yet.
That is why cabir was calling him to know where they are. While talking on the phone, Manan headed down, hand in hand. On reaching the living room, Nandini left him and came to the head butler. Since Manik was on call and Nandini was far away from him, he couldn't hear her but it was obvious that she was giving him some instructions.
Once she was done, she came back to him and Manik too was done with the call. He asked her once she was beside him.
Ma-all okay?
Nan-yup.
Saying that he was moving towards the exit, when this time Nandini held his wrist and stopped him. He looked at her in confusion but soon it was cleared.
Nandini left his wrist and came close to him. Then she gently cupped both his jaw and placed a warm kiss on his right cheek and let her lips stay there for a complete min. Feeling her lips there, Manik closed his eyes and inhaled sharply.
Nandini broke the kiss and Manik opened his eyes as he was missing her touch but soon he smiled when he saw her face coming to her left side. He closed his eyes again and Nandini kissed his left cheek, in the same way she did to his right one. Nothing could be pure for Manik than this moment.
Nandini moved away and Manik looked at her. Not wanting to interrupt this peaceful moment they decided to leave silently. Putting their hand in hand again they moved towards exit and soon they were in their car. Manik was driving and Nandini was beside him, the roads were comparatively empty which is why it gave Manik a chance to speed up. As soon as they left the mansion, Nandini came a little close to Manik and rested her right side on his shoulder along with entwining their arms.
Manik concentrated on his driving but was kissing her head top on timely basis. Nandini closed her eyes to rest for some time. In 25 mins they had reached the hotel and immediately the valet came to open the door for them.
Nandini moved away and the door opened, she got down of the car carefully coz of her long dress, while Manik off the car. Soon his door was opened too and he got down in his style. Getting down he closed the mid button of his coat and came to Nandini who was waiting for him.
He came beside her and placed his hand around her back, Nandini too came a little close to him and they started walking. The manager came to them and handed a bouquet to Manik along with wishing him.
Immediately the bouquet was taken by a staff member and the manager escorted them to their private seating which Manik knows already. Anyways, they silently came and the door was opened. Manan could hear everybody's voice.
While on feeling the movements, everybody looked at the door to see Manan entering in, being close to each other. Their entry looked so elegant, just like in movies.
Seeing them everybody got up from their seat to welcome them. Manan made distance btwn them and soon the gang came to them. Everybody once again met and wished Manik, hugged Nandini and were asking him as to where he was and it's been so late.
Moving his head in yes, Manik came out of the crowd and came to amms, seeing him close, amms had a welcoming expression and Manik took her blessings. Once he got up, amms wished him.
Then he came to Chacha and was abt to touch his feet but he stopped him mid way and took him in hug, being in the hug he wished him birthday and blessed him of a successful life.
Smiling at him, he broke the hug and came to Chachi, she too hugged him and blessed him with so many beautiful words. Manik was at peace on hearing such words from her. Abruptly breaking the hug he thanked her and before the moment could go ahead, Rishab jumped in the picture.
He hugged him and wished him like a friend and small brother, their hug was short. While Manik was here, Nandini was meeting amms and rest of the Murthy's. Getting away from Rishab, Manik came to Mr Malhotra and hugged him too, to meet him.
After this elaborated exchange of pleasantries, they all were standing around the table, when cabir suddenly said grabbing everybody's attention.
C-Manik........I know that you are a star and you both are a power couple but that doesn't mean that you have to be late in family gatherings.
All agreed to cabir silently while Manik said in reply.

Cabir made an "O" face and all decided to sit. The chairs were on the both the sides of the table, no head chair was there. So on the left side sat Nandini, then Manik and then cabir. In front of Nandini was Mr Malhotra and then chacha, then rest of the Murthy's and then the gang were sitting.
After settling down all got busy in talking and enjoying. Cabir leaned close to Manik and seeing him coming close, Manik too lend to hear him. Soon cabir spoke.
C-tere code word ka mtlb kya hai?
Manik frowned in confusion as to what code word. He said with confusion dripping from his face.

Hearing him Manik made an ohhh face and said after a moment.

Then they came back in their position and were talking with everyone. Soon cake was bought and then all got up again. Cake was set up in front of Manik and soon he cut the cake amidst everybody's wishes and birthday song.
After cutting the piece, he feeded Mr Malhotra and than amms, then he came to Nandini and everything seemed to fade away. He was so happy to feed her and seeing his eyes shining, Nandini passed him a warm smile.
Being drown in his feelings, Manik unintentionally came close to her and wrapped his free hand around her back. Then he bought the cake to her lips and Nandini opened her mouth. He feeded her the cake and than Nandini took it from his hands.
She feeded him back the cake and being in daze Manik kissed her cheek warmly. As much as Manik was unaware abt the people, Nandini was completely aware of them and was nervous with his any of the lovely acts. The kiss actually made her shy in front of everyone.
While the gang were just so casual abt this, not that they have noticed them romancing every time but this things are casual. For elders it was a little too much. Anyways, Nandini managed to get out of his hold decently and that bought Manik back to reality.
He turned around to see everybody noticing them which was a bit embarrassing but being the Mighty Manik Malhotra, he ignored them royally and behaved very casually, feeding his friends as if nothing happened.
The cake was beautiful and was equally magnificent in taste but it was taken back immediately and than food was bought. Nothing much was happening except from talking, eating and having fun. 2-3 hours passed by and nobody had an idea abt it.
It's been a good time now they all were sitting casually, when Manik looked at the manager, standing there to offer his service as an when required, seeing him, Manik clicked his fingers, grabbing his attention and then called him with his 2 fingers.
The manager came and leaned to Manik, who than ordered him.

Agreeing to him, he left and soon came back with cake in individual plates. Nandini was busy in a conversation when a plate was placed in front of her and seeing the cake, she couldn't thank enough to god.
She immediately digged the spoon in it and started relishing it along with talking. Manik smiled on seeing the peace on her face after having that sweet, which she was craving for, earlier.
Feeling his gaze on her, she turned to him and that one look made it clear to her that it was Manik who made this arrangement, specially for her. She couldn't have asked for more from god than Manik. Who could read her silence too.
